Early print deadlines shouldn’t mean your eEditions exclude important news stories

Many of our clients face challenges with early print deadlines which can lead to situations where news, articles, or other information may become outdated by the time it reaches the audience. For time-sensitive content like news, this is a significant issue. This can put pressure on editors and writers to complete work much earlier than they’d like to.

With the upcoming U.S. presidential election this may mean that editors are having to make crucial decisions without the most up-to-date information, which could affect the accuracy of some stories. Adapting to late, breaking news can be difficult to navigate with print editions, but we don’t want this to be the case with eEditions too, which is why we ensure our platform has the flexibility to deal with late page additions and breaking news stories.

Whether it’s late sports results or breaking election news, we work closely with our clients to ensure there are processes in place to enable those extra pages to be included within the eEdition.

Depending on your editorial and production resource you can choose to;

1. Add additional PDF pages to your existing PDF edition
2. Add additional feed-based pages to your existing PDF edition
3. Replace an existing PDF page with a more recent version

You can also create special Feed Editions for major events such as elections or the Olympics, which can sit alongside your PDF edition.
